Everywhere
Global shortcuts work outside text fields.
⌘ K / Ctrl K Open the command palette
? Open the keyboard shortcut panel
Esc Close the palette, panel or dialog
Enter Open the first palette result
Tab / Shift Tab Move focus between controls
Space Activate the focused button or square
Chess board
Focus a board square first, then use these keys.
← → Move focus across files
↑ ↓ Move focus across ranks
Home / End Jump to the first or last file
Enter / Space Select the focused square
Esc Clear the current selection
Analysis and game review
Works on the analysis board and game viewer.
← Previous move
→ Next move
Home Jump to the starting position
End Jump to the final position
Click a move Jump to that point in the game
Click a piece Show legal destinations and select it
Board and display
Set once in Settings; the board remembers it.
Theme button Toggle light and dark site theme
Board settings Choose board theme, pieces, coordinates and animation
Install app Add ChessUrge to your home screen or desktop
Fullscreen Use the browser’s fullscreen key (F11 or ⌃⌘F)
