ChessUrge started with a simple frustration: most chess sites treat analysis as a upsell and your games as content. We wanted a quieter place where the engine goes as deep as you need, the price is legible, and nothing disappears.
What we are building
A complete chess platform: a Stockfish 19 analysis board, real-time play with humans and bots, 15,000 curated puzzles, a permanent games library, achievements, and a community. The design is deliberately calm — dark by default, light when you want it, rounded where it helps, animated only when motion means something.
What we will not do
- Invent users, games or payments to look bigger than we are.
- Hide the cost of analysis behind “unlimited” language.
- Sell your game history or email address.
- Put ads inside the board.
Where we are
ChessUrge is operated from Kolkata, India, on infrastructure that is designed to move from the current ARM64 host to a larger 192-core ARM server without changing the stack. Everything runs in Docker, with certificates automated and every subdomain behind fail2ban.
